It’s safe to say that the summer is definitely over; we’ve had to dig out the woolly hat and gloves for our walks on Skye. But there is nothing nicer than walking the hills on a cold crisp morning, with the autumn sunshine sparkling off the dew and the mist rolling off the Cuillins.
Here at The Isle of Skye Smokehouse, even though it’s still a couple of months away yet, we’ve turned our attention towards Christmas. We’ve updated our 2010 mail order brochure and have a tasty new addition of juicy crab claws from Orkney, another island famous for its wonderful seafood.
Crab meat is wonderfully versatile – superb cooked with garlic butter and eaten straight off the claw, or removed from the shell and served up in a winter warming soup, like our Crab Claw and Scottish Brie soup.
